In a slide of Powerpoint you can include a hyperlink that will help you relate a text, image or shape to a file, a web page, an email or another section of the same presentation.

To a file

Go to the tab Insert and look in the options bar for the group Links. Then click Link so that a window opens in which you can choose the file you want to relate. You will have to choose in the field Search in the location of the document or in the current folder in which the presentation you are working on is located. When you have found the file you will have to select it and then click on To accept.

To a web page

In case you need to link to a web page you will have to do the same previous steps within the tab Existing file or web page, but you will have to click on the function Explore the web. You can find this at the top of the box Insert a hyperlink represented by a magnifying glass and the world. This will open the browser for you to search for the Url what do you need. When you have found the site you will have to paste it in the field Address and then click on To accept.

In this case you will have to choose the tab Place in this document. This will enable a list in which you can find all the slides that you have created so far. Choose the one you need then click To accept. On the other hand, if you are looking to link a word, shape or image with another presentation, you will have to follow the same steps as you did in the hyperlink of a file.

To a new Office document
